READ THIS AND RAGE AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT: I'm just like everyone else, whistling past the graveyard, which is what 99% of human actions and interactions are all about. We keep busy so we'll forget that we are going to not be alive one day. It’s a living! ;-) I'm even weirder than that, hoping against hope that science will discover a way to switch on the supposedly "junk genes" we all have - that’s what scientists call them now, no lie! - that my late friend, author Zecharia Sitchin, said could be switched on and we would live like Methuselah in the Bible, that's 400 years! As Plato said, "If you want peace, prepare for war," so maybe if I want a long life, I should prepare for death? I guess the two are not equal, but you get what I'm driving at, especially if you know astrology. My posts of the last few days have been about Secrets and Lies coming out and the reaction to that happening and, ahem, I could not have been more correct and I could fill this column with all the things I've read in my news junkie mode. But the reason I've been banging on about Secrets and Lies and POWER STRUGGLES is because of activity to planets in the sign of Scorpio, which rules extremes like life and death. I have not, however, even mentioned death because it scares people. Well, today I looked at my local paper's obituary column and I knew five people who had recently gone to the place where we are all going one day - just not today, I pray! Of course, it's a function of my age, 68, (we’re healthy bc we work at it but we know how lucky we are and how that can change in a minute) and of the fact that I've lived here since 1975, so I know a lot of people casually. But I can take a hint and so today I thought I would look at the astro weather to see if there was some way of talking about the "D" word that is not overly scary and there it was, Mercury coming into conjunction with Venus in Scorpio and a whole lot of other aspects which, put them all together, and it is my duty as your astro weather man to tell you that if you have ever thought about thinking about preparing your affairs for the time when you leave this planet for, I hope, a much better place where we can all wait for all of us to be together again, this is a great weekend to do it! If you read this to the end, congratulations! You are a brave person who is in touch with reality and you are my real friend. I expect to get VERY few likes and comments on this supremely important post. C'est la vie, that's life, pun intended!
