Karma is word for The Golden Rule With Consequences, it's not just, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you," it's that plus a cosmic, "or else you're going to have to pay for your actions, somehow balance the scales of justice."
I called my first book "KARMA CARDS: A New Age Guide to Your Future Through Astrology," which has been in continuous print for nearly 30 years (Anniversary Edition coming in the fall!) because of how Edgar Cayce, America's Sleeping Prophet (well worth a Google), defined Karma: Meeting yourself.
Meeting yourself, meeting your Self, your Higher Self, is how I see it, the Self that is either proud or not happy with what you've done, your over-conscience? I am not claiming I know how the crime and punishment apparatus of the universe works, but I've seen karma at work in my life and the lives of many others but, unfortunately, not all who deserve a cosmic payback or three (fingers are crossed, though!)
With the theme of Karma in mind, I'm now going to delineate what I have come to believe is the karmic lesson for each of the 12 Sun signs, Aries right through to Pisces. I'm going to be doing so on my blog because I promised the wonderful people who've registered and contributed to my Astro Weather Blog that they would be receiving exclusive content and to limit any bad Karma I'm going to fulfill that promise. I've been lax about it because of all of our promotional efforts for our two books just published May 2nd, SIGNS & SEASONS: An Astrology Cookbook (HarperElixir) and INSTANT TAROT (Red Wheel/Weiser).

KARMIC LESSONS FOR YOUR SUN SIGN
ARIES: More afraid of being afraid than of anything else, Arians are always trying to prove how brave they are. Arians must remember that fear and self-doubt are not signs of weakness or losing control; nor are they a guarantee of failure. The “fight or flight” instinct is a basic characteristic of Arians. If an Aries feels even slightly afraid, the emotion makes him either lash out or panic. Rams must stay spontaneous and not let their fear cause self-defeating behavior or paralyze them into inaction and cause even more self-doubt.
TAURUS: Taureans value a middle-of-the-road approach to life. Not likely to get caught up in the latest trend, they believe in being themselves. Taureans need to understand that being true to their values does not mean they should be afraid to change their ideas or habits once in a while. They are not quick to engage in a confrontation, but swallowing too much anger can make them sick, literally and figuratively, or cause them to explode into a rage like a bull.
GEMINI: Geminis want to experience life fully and in as many different ways as they can. They may even go so far as to live something of a double life. At the very least, they have two opinions about everything—more, if they have actually studied a particular subject in depth. Geminis hunger for information from all sources: books, television, word of mouth. They will do practically anything to avoid being bored—which, to a Gemini, is a fate almost worse than death.
CANCER: More than those born under any other sign, Cancerians are driven by feelings and intuition. Even though they are intelligent, practical people, they use their feelings as a sort of radar, and a great many of their decisions are based on this radar. While highly sensitive in the way they behave toward others, Cancerians are usually most sensitive when it comes to their own feelings. They are easily hurt by actions or attitudes that other signs are likely to dismiss. Hurt a Cancer and there is a chance that he will sulk.
LEO: Leos may worry that they are not as proud, powerful, or good a leader as they wish they were, and that people who matter to them will discover this fact. At times they need to fall back on the “fake it till you make it” philosophy. Sometimes, even the best of leaders must put on an act to get the job done. Leos find it very difficult to be a team player, since they feel it is their lot to lead others.
VIRGO: Virgos are driven by the search for perfection in every way. This quest is apparent in everything they do or say—and especially in what they don’t (or won’t) do or say. In fact, they would rather do nothing than do the wrong thing, which often leads others to misinterpret their behavior as procrastination. But at the heart of the typical Virgo is the hardest worker you’ve ever met—ready, willing, and able to help anyone he deems worthy of his service.
LIBRA: Libras are driven by the desire to bring beauty and harmony to their world and the world at large. They have refined tastes and may actually recoil from things that are ugly, loud, or unpleasant. Other people may misinterpret this attitude as snobbishness, but it is not. For many Libras, vulgarity is an affront.
A Libra may give the impression of being a pushover because of an unwillingness to argue. But under the right set of circumstances he can stand up for himself, despite the unpleasantness that arguing brings.
SCORPIO: Scorpios are keen students of psychology and always want to know what makes people do the things they do. Compulsions and strange behavior do not faze a Scorpio one bit. In fact, her curiosity is piqued. Undeveloped Scorpios have a tendency to use their intimate understanding of human motivations for ruthless manipulation cunningly designed to attain selfish goals. While Scorpios are constantly trying to uncover the secrets of others, they guard their own privacy with almost manic intensity.
SAGITTARIUS: The lesson for Sagittarians to learn is that there is an important reason their life does not provide them with as many opportunities to travel, learn, and teach as they would like. They have come into the world with the astrological sign Sagittarius because they want to learn how to study, travel, and especially teach. They can expand their understanding of the way the world works through travel, certainly, but also through travel in their mind via philosophy and learning.
CAPRICORN: The lesson for Capricorns centers on the important reason that their life does not provide them with as many opportunities to enjoy success, wealth, and happiness as they would like. They have come into this world with the astrological sign Capricorn because they want to learn the best way to achieve success, wealth, and happiness! They know in their hearts that there are actual techniques they need to learn and lessons they need to apply in their lives before they can attain their full potential.
AQUARIUS: Aquarians are here to learn how to make real the future they can so easily see in their mind’s eye! This is why their life does not provide them with as many opportunities as they would like to enjoy the freedom and other resources necessary to turn their innovative ideas into reality. In fact, they sometimes make such extreme changes that in their enthusiasm to get rid of the old ways they can destroy valuable things from the past that still have great usefulness.
PISCES: The lesson for Pisces centers on why her life does not provide her with as many opportunities as she would like to use her unique sensitivity to others to gain the appreciation of those she would most like to help and associate with. People born under the sign Pisces want to learn how to get close enough to people to be of assistance to them without becoming overwhelmed by their needs and neediness. The more honest and honorable a Piscean is, the more she hesitates. Pisceans seem to fear that the world will expect more of them than they can give.
