The death of someone we know warps time; when we are able to, we walk outside to see people going about their lives and want to shout, "Don't you know S/HE's dead? Gone? How can you be so oblivious to the death of one so wonderful?"
The death of someone we know also prepares us, to a degree determined by how we process it, for our own death and for the death of everyone else we care about. One is never, however, ever prepared for any of it, not really. And before you jump on your keyboard to projectile regurgitate at me the words and memes you cling to regarding how inevitable, necessary and wonderful is death, let me ask you to save your calories. Those words are meaningless to someone who is grieving or writing about it. Like a philosopher with a toothache, even a psychic tarot card reading astrologer and all his life long study of philosophy is reduced to a transient rush of inhaled and exhaled air passing through vocal chords on a body that one day will be no more. This is the philosophy of the jungle, the forest, the sea and the sky, it is messy, gory, horrible and, ok, beautiful in terms of the life that comes out of death, but nothing and no one wants to die, nothing on earth, sea or sky.
Speaking of the sky, I've learned quite a bit this year regarding the sign Pisces and the planet Neptune, they've been the teacher and I have been the student sitting in awe of their power. I've always regarded the planets past Saturn - Uranus, Neptune and Pluto - as transpersonal, so that their main thrust in a person's chart was to tie them to the generational cohorts stamped out by their slow movement around the Sun and through the Zodiac.
While this is true, there is so much more to them that I didn't really "get" before now, not the way I get it now, anyway. They are transpersonal in another sense, sort of ultra-personal, they connect us to the world outside ourselves in both the abstract and the real and serious as a heart attack sense. We commune, we empathize, we live together and we die together. These energies are hard to describe because they represent everything that is hard to describe, impossible, perhaps. But they do stamp out cohorts of people who all have in their charts the various slow movers in a particular sign.
Uranus taking appx 80 years to go around the zodiac so there are generations born for approximately six plus years with the same sign placement of Uranus, 164 years for Neptune so cohorts of 14 years appx have the same Neptune sign placement, and 248 years for Pluto to orbit through the 12 Zodiac signs, staying in each one for approximately 20 years. Neptune in Libra was the Hippie Generation, Pluto in Leo stamped out the Baby Boomers. I can and will do a whole post on the various generational influences, if beloved famous people stop dying every day.
Of course, they won't. We live until we die, the internet has made real philosopher/artist Andy Warhol's prediction, "In the future, everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes," and so there are a lot more well known people being stamped out as "famous," and the larger the cohort, the greater the actuarial odds that one or more of them will die, it's math and science at work, not that I like it one bit. In fact, if I was able to speak to the Creator of All Things, I would hope to keep my wits about me enough to remember to complain about this death thing, this design flaw in an otherwise brilliant creation, us! Yes, I'd start off with oodles of thanks and congratulations and such, but I would have to complain about anything that would part me and my beloved soulmate, or even us and our beloved Zane.
In Zecharia Stichin's work, it was revealed that the early created humans lived for periods of hundreds of years! Yes, Methuselah's span was average for his time, according to the early Sumerian writings Zecharia was able to translate. And, here's the cool part, our genetic code has this "switch" that can be turned on, if we only knew how, and we could live for hundreds of years! Perhaps this switch is in the "junk genes" presently known by genetic scientists. Like weeds, they are junk only because their use is not known yet.
There hasn't been very much astro weather in this round up but if you've read this far MAKE A WISH!!! IT"S THE NEW MOON!!!!!!!!!! IN CAPRICORN, THE EIGHTH DEGREE!!! AND URANUS IS STATIONARY DIRECT!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR, sort of!!!!!
This is the time for setting one's intention. My wish is that the Junk Genes turn out to be the Switch for Longevity!!! Until then, I will thank Neptune and Pisces for turning out to be much more personal than I could have ever imagined. Mars being in Pisces now and crossing over the South Node of the Moon didn't produce war, it produced sorrow at the loss of those we saw as transpersonal, they used to call them the gods, royalty, now we call them "celebrities" and so we should celebrate them in death as we did in life.
Share. Like. Whatever. Just don't die on me and I'll try to do the same.
